Dial-Up Internet

This is one of the earliest forms of internet connections used. It is where a computer is linked to the internet via the use of the telephone line and a modem.

Dial up internet are suitable for those casual users who only do light browsing of the web and check their emails. It is relatively inexpensive, many provides will only provide dial-up internet via prepaid usage options.

The down side to dial-up internet is very slow and requires time to establish a telephone connection and that data takes a reasonable amount of time to be transfer. Also, dial up internet have restricted hours usages and limited amount of downloads available. But the good thing is you can use it anywhere where that is a normal phone line.
